Qazet.az reports that this was said by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlud Çavuşoğlu.

According to him, Turkey had no initiative to bring the West and Russia together: "But thanks to us, Russia and Ukraine sat behind the negotiating table. The foreign ministers of both sides held a discussion. The presidents have not met yet."

Çavuşoğlu said that there will be peace someday: "It should be fair, especially for Ukraine. There are issues that Russia and the West should discuss. Of course, we are always ready to contribute. But we have not taken the initiative yet."
