Turkish, Russian presidents talk over phone

A telephone conversation took place between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Qazet.az reports according to the Turkish leader's administration.

During the conversation, the heads of state discussed bilateral relations, as well as the implementation of the grain deal.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that through joint efforts, Turkiye had ensured the delivery of more than 13 million tons of grain to countries in need. The Turkish President expressed hope for a speedy settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.

The Turkish head of state also briefed his Russian counterpart on the separatist activities of the PKK terrorist organization and its offshoot PYD/YPG in northern Syria, including their terrorist attacks targeting Turkiye.
