Ukraine extends COVID-19 restrictions until 31 December
Ukraine remains in the green zone of epidemic danger
The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to extend adaptive quarantine restrictions and the emergency situation regime until December 31, 2021, Qazet.az reports citing Ukrinform.
The decision on the extension of adaptive quarantine restrictions was approved at a government meeting on September 20.
“The current epidemic situation is under control. Yes, we are recording an increase in the number of new COVID-19 cases, but due to vaccination we have a margin of safety. The healthcare system is ready to respond to a new wave, but the best way to save own life and health is to get vaccinated against coronavirus infection at the first opportunity,” said Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.
According to Liashko, the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies will meet on September 21 and announce when the yellow zone of epidemic danger will be introduced throughout the country.
Currently, Ukraine remains in the green zone of epidemic danger.
