Ukrainians have retaken control of Irpin

The mayor of Irpin, a town north-west of Kyiv, said Ukrainian forces had seized back full control of the town on Monday.

Qazet.az reports that the town, which sits just 20km outside the capital, has seen some of the most important fighting for the future of Kyiv.

"We have good news today Irpin has been liberated," Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn said in a video post on social media.
