Qazet.az reports  that this was said by Hijran Huseynova, the chairman of the Family, Women's and Children's Affairs Committee of the Milli Majlis, during the discussion of the annual information of the executive power body that supervises the provision of gender equality at the plenary session of the parliament held on December 20.

He emphasized that there is also gender discrimination in families regarding babies in the country: "These and other gender-based cases lead to the crime of domestic violence. We see the serious consequences of this."
