Vegetable production in Azerbaijan increased

In January-August of this year, 1 442,7 thousand tons of vegetables were produced in farms in Azerbaijan, Qazet.az reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

This figure increased by 1,3% in comparison to the relevant period of the previous year. 

In the reporting period, vegetable products were planted in 60,8 thousand hectares of area, and this is 1,8 hectares or 2,9% less than the same period of the previous year.
In the first eight months of the current year, the yield in vegetable harvest was 237 centners. This is 9 centners or 3,9% more than the figure of January-August of 2021.
