Vitaly Borisov: When you played for "Dina" they suggested that we make you a Russian passport"
When I performed at "Dina", they suggested that we make you a Russian passport, stay and play here. I refused because I wanted to continue my performance in the Azerbaijan national team."
Qazet.az reports that Vitaly Borisov, a former futsal player of the Azerbaijan national team, said this during an interview with the press service of the Azerbaijan Futsal Federation, talking about the offer he received when he played in the Russian club "Dina" in 2008-2010.
The 40-year-old specialist also explained the reason for his departure from "Dina" at that time: When I went to "Dina", along with me, members of the Serbian national team, Rajic and Marko Peric, were also involved in the team. After the season ended, I signed a new 2-year contract. After playing one more season, I didn't want to stay. Because each team could play only 3 legionnaires in the Russian championship. On that eve, they expressed displeasure because I was injured in the national team. They said that we are paying you, but you are not protecting yourself. I saw that there was a rumor and decided to break the contract. As a result, I returned to "Araz-Nakhchivan" in 2010.
It should be noted that Vitaly Borisov ended his career in 2018.
