“It is gratifying that the number of people receiving vaccines in Azerbaijan has increased,” said the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci, Qazet.az reports.
According to her, Azerbaijan is one of the first countries in the region to start vaccination: “The more people rapidly vaccinated, this will lead to important consequence in the fight against the disease. About 30% of the population has received two doses of vaccine in Azerbaijan so far. However, vaccine alone is not enough. All world has understood that it is not possible to get rid of this disease by vaccination alone. It is very important to use masks in closed, crowded places.”
