Qazet.az reports that this was included in the congratulatory letter addressed by the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The letter noted that China-Azerbaijani relations have been developing continuously and steadily over the past years, and cooperation in various fields has been successfully and efficiently expanded:

"At the successful meeting we held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in September of this year, important agreements were reached on the development of bilateral relations, strengthening of mutual activities in the international arena and deepening of cooperation within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. I attach great importance to the development of China-Azerbaijani relations, our countries and peoples I am ready to work with you to help in the sustainable, long-term development of friendly and cooperative relations for the sake of your well-being."
